human geo
differences between my culture and the culture in india shown in slum dog millionaire
i grew up in a peaceful culture and not a violent one
i live in a large home these people live in small shacks
i have running water and plumbing they have a hole that they drop their waste in and wash in a river
they have no technology i have a lot of technology
they grew up with a struggle i didn't
they have a shorter life span because of conditions we have modern medicine so we can live longer
the police in the slums are corrupt but where i live they are not
the schools there don't provide a good education the schools here do

Syrian national anthem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy5QYo_K3KA
Defenders of our home,
Peace be upon you;
The proud spirits had
refused to subdue.
The lion-abode of Arabism,
A hallowed sanctuary;
The seat of the stars,
An inviolable preserve.
Our hopes and our hearts,
Are entwined with the flag,
Which unites our country
This national anthem kinda sounds military but also classical.

today in human geo class we had to take a pop quiz which was terrible. for the first half of the class he was not here he was doing something. for that time i played games for the most part. the class average was 68.7 and thats why it was horrible. no one got an A. the two shadows in the class had to take the quiz as well. i hate pop sizes so much. mr. schick used it to get a grade in to power school before the end of the quarter. thats all was did and now he is giving us time to write our blog. it was a boring class again.
Thursday, October 23, 2014

Today in human geography we talked about the facts of the leaders of the countries we looked up last night. Angela merkel is the 5th most powerful person in the world. She also is the most powerful person in germany. we had to write these facts about the leaders of these countries because the night before we had to write some things for 12 different countries like who is the leader, what kind of government, and a picture of the countries leader. we were also going off topic allot but thats about all that was said in class today it was same old stuff for the most part.

today in class we took a test. it was really easy and short. james' brother is shadowing today so he showed up after a little bit. when he got here james was out of the room. every time someone wanted to come in i had to open the door. it is the 1st mod of the day so i am and was very tired while taking the test i think i did alright on it though. nothing else really happened because not many people are in class because there are on the last freshman retreat of the year.

Today in class we when over the test and what material we would need to know mr. schick explained the timed portion of the test. he told us not to use google for our answers he told us to use the factbook. we wouldn't be able to to use the via fact book on the rest of the test. i couldn't get the beginning of the class because mrs. heflin pulled me into her office. also we watched a video of a guy making small burritos for a small hamster he recreated a small resturaunt. also mr. schick showed us how population pyramids work and how they are affected by events currently happening and push and pull forces.
Monday, September 29, 2014
today in class mr.schick he is at a wedding in main and was not here we had mrs. amato as a substitute instead. we learned about population pyramids today. we watched a whole video on these population pyramids. we learned how they work and they had shown what they think the pyramids will be in 2050. we had to answer some questions about the video.

today in class we went over facts about different counties around the world. we found all these facts through the cia fact book. mr. schick was working on getting a plain ticket so he can choose where he sits. he has to go up to a wedding in main he is flying to Boston soon. he says he is scared because he wants to be able to choose his seat on the plan so he "dosnt have to sit in the 2 square feet of space because the seat is in the middle of two 300 pond people." that is all we did in class today it is not much to talk about.
Thursday, September 25, 2014
today in class we talked about death rates and birth rates for different countries. We talked about how these rates affect the total population of a country. the birth rate in the united states is 2.06 but in order to keep the death and birth rate even it must be 2.1. even though our birth rate is only 2.06 we still have people immigrating to the united states there for the population remains steady in the united states. We also talked about the push and pull factors for countries. An example of a push factor is in Syria people are leaving at a large rate because of all the war that is going on there. an example of a pull rate is people coming to Canada because the health care there is so good, no terrorism, reduced crime, and they don't get involved with war often. that domes up todays class.
Wednesday, September 24, 2014
today in class we received our tests back. mr. Schick rung a bell every time someone got an A on their test. not many people were there today because of the freshman retreat. we went over the test and explained all the questions incase someone didn't understand. over all we did not do much in class due to the fact that half of the class was not there. there is not much else to talk about in this blog because almost nothing happened today.

yesterday friday september 19 i learned that france is 15th in the world for life expectancy at 81.66. The migration rate in the united states is at 2.65. The united states is number 42 in life expectancy. The united states last year had a migration rate of 3.65. One year ago the migration rate in canada was 5.65. A crude death rate is a number of deaths per 1000 of the population. A crude birth rate is a number of births per 1000 of the population. that is all my notes from class

Durring class today we were studying everything for the test. We went over ancient Greece and all of the definitions for the vocabulary and all of the extra things like dates or people. We also talked about globalization and americanization in other countries. Now there are mcdonalds in other countries because of americanization. We went over did you know 3.0 which basically has the same facts from americanization and globalization accept for a few facts that have to do with population and technology. We then talked about A message to Garcia and all the facts we need to know for the test on Wednesday.
Friday, September 12, 2014
class notes: *globalization is the connection of the world, the expansion of international, cultural, economic, and political activity.
*Globalization is the americanization of other countries
*globalization can include the spread of religion

Today in class we went deeper into a video of facts about the world in 2012. We analyzed all the data from the video. Mr. schtick yelled at some kids who were talking again. We were also talking about the new apple watch and the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. We talked about the features of the apple watch like how it had apple pay. With apple pay you can pay at a restaurant just by swiping a chip over it. After that mr. Schick said that some day we will look back at iPhones and think they are pathetic be cause we will all have chips in our heads to send messages i thought that was reely funny

Today in school we were assigned seats for human geo. We voted not to keep them because a few people including me, gave a speech. I gave the best speech ever. I know sit next to my friend jack. We talked about democracies and republics. we learned that the united states was a republic. Mr. Schick fought us a few other things about Greece and other places in the world. It was a short class because it was at the end of the day. We did not learn much but it was fun because we voted to change seats.

Today during class we talked more about a story called Message to Garcia. It is about a guy who needs to bring Garcia a message from the president. Garcia was in Cuba fighting in the spanish american war. The story was a rant saying that if this man was not chosen to deliver the letter it would not be delivered because everyone from the newer generation is lazy. Also today Mr. Schick check if we had our books. I did today was a fun class overal

Friend and I talked the whole class because all we did was talk to mr. Schick about our blogs. I checked my email and just waited for the class to end for the mostpart but i got to do my homework so something good came out of the class.
i worked on my paragraph for my summer reading book too. It was not a productive class for me because i was distracted the whole time.
